‘Katvoman’ to participate at Dalmatia festival

Iranian short ‘Katvoman’ is to be screened in the Dalmatia Film Festival (DFF) in Croatia.

Iranian short ‘Katvoman’ has made its way to the Dalmatia Film Festival (DFF) in Croatia.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Katvoman’ will be screened in the final program of the 7th edition of the Croatian event.

The film, written and directed by Hadi Sheibani, is inspired by the fictional character of Catwoman.

“Katvoman has become weak to the extent that she cannot save people anymore,” a synopsis for the film reads.

‘Katvoman’ received its world premiere at the 20th Molise Cinema Film Festival in Italy.

The film was also awarded at the 58th edition of the International Amateur Film Festival of Kelibia in Tunisia.

Dalmatia Film Festival is “an international festival of features, shorts, documentaries, animated films and tourism/travel films”, according to an online submission platform.

It “takes place in several beautiful Croatian cities: Sutivan, Pirovac, Solin and Split during summer, with additional venues during fall”.

The 2022 edition of the festival took place in July and August in the cities of Sutivan, Pirovac, and Solin, and the final program will take place in city Split on December 8-10.
